Skills for sport. Tools for life.

PLAYfree’s mission is to help athletes, coaches, and parents unlock the joy, growth, and performance potential of competitive spaces through the intentional development of growth environments and mental, emotional, and life skills.

By re-humanizing athletes and creating supportive, joyful competitive spaces, we can together access the potential - to uplift, unify, teach, and transform - that exists in sport.

And: Purposeful, resilient, intrinsically motivated and overall healthy athletes will always perform more consistently at a high level.

    Individual Athletes

Build a mental and emotional skillset for accessing joy, purpose, intention, a growth mindset, and peak performance.

  • A group of five cyclists wearing matching orange and white jerseys and helmets racing on a paved road, with green grass and a fence in the background.

    Teams

Learn to collaborate, bring the best out of each other, and maximize your strengths and abilities as you reach for new heights.

  • A soccer player and a coach or trainer having a discussion on the sideline of a soccer field. The player is wearing a pink training bib over a white jersey and blue shorts, while the coach is dressed in all black. The coach is gesturing with his right hand as the player listens.

    Coaches & Organizations

Create human-centered, growth-focused, intentional and transformational competitive environments built to thrive.

  • Four young boys in yellow and blue soccer uniforms celebrating together on a football field at dusk, with stadium lights in the background.

    Parents

Be your child’s #1 fan and positive role model as you support their development, well-being, and joyful sport engagement.

What is Mental Performance?

Mental performance is strength and resilience under pressure, calm and focus through the noise, adaptability and the ability to dynamically and intentionally shift attention under unpredictable conditions.

It is also having compassion for ourselves, seeking to grow forward from every setback and embrace challenges as necessary opportunities to express our best selves.

Performance is learning to engage in the present moment with attention, curiosity, and openness, identifying where attention is needed and meeting that demand.

About

I believe in taking a solution- and opportunity-focused, strengths-based approach to life skill development, learning, intention, and peak performance.

I use my experience as an athlete, coach, and coordinator to collaborate with athletes, teams, coaches, and parents in an effort to increase self-awareness, curiosity, and self-determination, and to bring compassion, joy, intrinsic meaning, and developmentally supportive coaching and parenting practices back into the world of sport.
